New Honda CB500F Grand Prix Red Massive Upgrade

2022 Honda cb500f for 2022 Honda decided to infuse some major upgrades to the chassis suspension brakes and wheels of all three models. CBF has created a pair of very capable entry-level motorcycles. Both the CBR500R and CB500F Boogie models

The update to the chassis for 2022 has the same control and stability. The 471 CC parallel twin 180 degree crankshaft engine returns without updating. While not a Powerhouse the CB500F makes 43.2 horsepower at 8280 revolutions per minute and 29.77 pound-feet of torque at 6450 revolutions per minute. The cb500f weighs 417 pounds on full fuel.

Throttle response is smooth and fast without jerking or stuttering at any RPM and the power assist or slipper clutch exhibits low power and decent feel in the lever making it a friendly partner for novice Riders.

As you'd expect with a smaller displacement engine the overall gear shift is pretty short with the engine revs at 5000 revolutions per minute at 60 miles per hour in sixth gear but again parallel twin linear power and excellent torque spread the 471 CC power plant sucks fuel at an average of 67 MPG

For the CBR and 65 for the CBF and those numbers include plenty of throttle revs in the canyon. Honda's mid-range model is capable of having fun in a big way. The diamond type steel tube frame attached to the four-seat engine remains unchanged but is equipped with a new swing arm that is two pounds lighter while providing greater torsional rigidity Upgrades to Honda's braking system include dual radial Mount 4 piston. Nissan calipers that clamp to 296 millimeters discs with abs as standard equipment.

While the old CBF had decent suspension action it didn't take much to overwhelm. The damping Rod Fork any sharp bumps feel straight through the bars and aggressive braking will result in plenty of front-end Dives the suspension.

Dampers may be strong enough to handle Canyon duties but are still suitable enough to handle damaged Urban Pavements smoothly and hassle-free and while the new brakes have more power they're still very beginner friendly with a good linear response rate.

The driver's seat is comfortable and supportive enough for long trips but the passenger seat is not very accommodating with its small size and little support.

LED headlights on both bikes which emit a nice wide Beam on the road ahead cb500f it's centered on the LCD dashboard which apart from looking a bitd ated is also hard to see in bright daylight due to reflective glare and lack of contrast. At 6699 Dollars for the cb500f it's only 200 up from last year.
